I’ve spent my entire occupational therapy career working with children, and I genuinely love what I do. There’s nothing better than watching a child grow in confidence, connect with others, and start to master skills that once felt tricky.

I work with little ones from newborns up to around 10 years old, supporting a wide range of developmental needs. My sessions are very child-led and play-based, because that’s how children learn best. When a child feels safe, engaged, and having fun, that’s where the magic really happens.

In my work, I look at each child as a whole. I use a sensory, developmental, and scholastic lens to understand what might be going on beneath the surface. At the foundation are the sensory systems, which influence how a child experiences and responds to the world around them. These are the building blocks for regulation, attention, coordination, and overall engagement.

I focus on building strong developmental skills, including gross motor, fine motor, visual perceptual skills, motor planning, emotional regulation, play, and social connection. These are all important building blocks that support a child’s ability to explore, interact, and feel confident in their world.

At the top of the developmental pyramid are the more “school-based” skills, like handwriting, attention, and classroom participation. I take a bottom-up approach, which means we strengthen the foundations first, rather than just working on the end skill in isolation.

With younger children, and especially those with developmental delays or diagnoses, I often bring in a DIRFloortime®-informed approach. DIRFloortime® focuses on building communication and engagement through relationships and play. I follow the child’s lead and meet them exactly where they are, using connection as the starting point for growth. It’s one of my favourite ways to work because it feels natural, meaningful, and really honours each child as an individual.

Milestone
Check-In

These monthly milestone check-ins, at the practice or at your home, are designed for parents who want to feel confident, supported, and proactive about their baby’s development. Rather than only stepping in when challenges arise, this is a gentle, preventative approach.

The focus is on supporting development from the start, using the right kind of stimulation and activities to encourage your baby’s skills to emerge naturally and in the correct sequence, rather than only addressing difficulties later on.

How it works is that you come in once a month, allowing us to regularly check in on where your baby is developmentally and how they are progressing over time. This consistent support helps ensure they are building strong foundations each step of the way. At each session, we look at where your baby is developmentally for their age, across all the important building blocks. From there, I guide you with simple, practical activity ideas you can use at home to support their next milestones in a way that feels natural and doable in your daily routine.

It’s also a space for you. You can ask questions, share any concerns, and get clarity on what’s typical, what to look out for, and how best to support your baby as they grow.

These sessions are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to you and your baby, with the goal of helping you feel more confident and connected every step of the way.

Baby
Massage

Mother And Baby

I am a certified infant massage instructor, trained through the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).

Infant massage is such a beautiful way to connect with your baby. It supports bonding, encourages sensory development, and creates a calm, nurturing space where your baby feels safe, seen, and loved.

As an occupational therapist, I especially love baby massage because of how closely it aligns with early development. Touch is one of the first and most important building blocks for a baby’s growth, and massage offers the perfect way to support this in a gentle, meaningful way.

From an OT perspective, some of the key benefits include:

  • Strengthening bonding and attachment

  • Providing rich sensory stimulation

  • Supporting early communication and body awareness

Infant massage can also support circulation, help relieve discomfort such as wind or constipation, promote relaxation and sleep, and regulate your baby’s nervous system, among many other benefits. It’s one of the simplest but most powerful ways to support your baby’s development from the very beginning.

How it works:

Baby massage is offered as a 5-week course, where you’ll come once a week and join a small group of moms and babies. Each week, you’ll learn massage strokes for different parts of your baby’s body, building up to a full routine over time.

Along the way, I’ll also share helpful insights around your baby’s development, cues, and how to adapt massage to suit their individual needs. These sessions are not only about learning the techniques, but also about creating a calm, supportive space for you and your baby. It’s a chance to slow down, tune into your baby, and enjoy special one-on-one time together.

It’s also a lovely opportunity to connect with other parents who have babies of a similar age, share experiences, and feel a little more supported in this season of life.
